Mimi G Style empowers and motivates people of all ages and walks of life. Her videos on DIY sewing, self-empowerment, and lifestyle have propelled Mimi G from blogger to internet sensation. Since 2014, Mimi G. Style, Inc. has partnered with Simplicity Creative Group to license, design and market commercial sewing patterns. In 2016 Mimi G. founded SewItAcademy.com, an online sewing school, designed to be accessible and affordable for anyone interested in learning to sew and design. Mimi G. Style has collaborated with over 350 brands including Target, Google, Macy’s, ULTA, The Home Depot, The Recording Academy, Coca-Cola, Verizon, Kellog, Revlon, Steve Madden and more. HOW DOES IT WORK? Sew It Academy was founded for beginners who have little to no experience with sewing. Each course includes extensive information on techniques and builds on the previous class. Much like a brick and mortar school, we have a curriculum you follow to make the best of all the content offered. Each month a new course is added so there is always something to learn. When you become a member, you gain access to all the content much like Netflix and continue having access so you may work at your own pace as long as you are a paid member.
CAN I SIGN UP AND OR CANCEL AT ANY TIME? Yes, you can sign up for our buy out course and our monthly memberships at anytime. Sew It Academy monthly membership can be cancelled at anytime, however our buy out course is a set number of courses and is not fundable atfter purchase.
WHAT COURSES ARE OFFERED IN SIA? SIA currently has over 30 classes ranging in skill level. Although we strongly suggest you follow the paths in order (Course #1, #2, etc.), you can skip ahead if you are an intermediate sewist. SIA offers courses on sewing, patternmaking, draping, special techniques, and much more.
CAN I SHARE MY MEMBERSHIP BY GIVING SOMEONE MY LOG IN? No, if multiple people share your membership, the system will automatically lock one account out.
HOW MUCH DOES SIA COST? Sew It Menswear is a monthly subscription fee of $11.97 (automated recurring payments) Sew It Womenswear is a monthly subscription fee $11.97 (automated recurring payments)
HOW DO I CANCEL MY MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP? If you wish to cancel your monthly membership simply email hello@sewitacademy.com so we can cancel your membership. You may also choose to pause your membership for up to 3 months.

COURSE REFUND POLICY: Sew It Academy memberships or single buy out courses are non-refundable. Disputed payments are handled in accordance with our Chargeback Policy.
HOW LONG IS SIA? Sew It Academy both Menswear and Womenswear subscriptions are continuing education. Like Netflix when you sign up you gain access to all the courses and you can maintain your membership for as long as you like and work at your own pace. New classes are added monthly, but you may cancel at any time.
WHAT TOOLS AND SUPPLIES WILL I NEED? During the first course we will cover all the basics supplies you will need including sewing machine recommendations and necessary tools for your kit. There is a list of recommended sewing machines starting as low as $149 in the resource tab on the site.
CHARGEBACK POLICY: Credit card chargebacks and PayPal disputes can be costly and hurt our standing with our payment processors. For this reason, we reserve the right to terminate and/or disable Sew It Memberships accounts that have filed chargebacks or disputes. We are always willing to discuss any issues you may have and ask that you contact us at hello@sewitacademy.com if you have a dispute you would like us to review. These disputes are meant as a last resort measure. All customer service and billing questions should be directed to us first. We answer email daily and will always help with any questions or concerns you may have.
HOW DID SIA COME TO BE? Mimi G began Mimi G Style, Inc. to share my expertise with everyone I possibly could reach. I felt that the art of sewing was not being taught in a way that was making a real difference and engaging people to try something they never thought to do. I launched Sew It Academy because I wanted to help anyone feel empowered by learning a new skill and possibly turn that new skill into a small business. We started Sew It Academy Menswear because there are no outlets or resources for individuals wanting to learn to sew menswear.
